Councillor Jane Havenhand Latest to Step Down in Wake of CSE Scandal

Councillor Jane Havenhand has announced she is stepping down this year, there have been widespread calls for her to do so since the CSE scandal hot Rotherham as she has held some key rolls in licensing of taxis and child protection in the past.

Rumour around Dinnington is that she will take up a new job with the Olde Dinnington Club, an establishment which her family has been involved in for sometime.

Both Jane and her sister Jacquie have been conspicuously absent from Dinnington Town Council meetings of late, even though she insisted last year she would not resign due to the CSE scandal. (Click for video)

A rather embarassing incident took place past year when their brother went round to a political rivals home and threatened to duff him up. Jacquie was forced to publicly apologise.

LoveDinnington says: whilst we welcome the resignations of complicit Councillors we would also urge that any money they have received over the years for failed duties should be repaid and put into a fund for victims of CSE in Rotherham Borough.

I watched the video of the last Dinnington town council meeting with much disgust but very little suprise. Interesting to see the chair despite a democratic vote against awarding JADE 10k of public funds spend 16 minutes trying to overturn this decision. ….. why?Furthermore in response to this overturning I believe that one of the directors of JADE who happens to be in a relationship with Cllr Havenhands daughter had now referred to the people of Dinnington as “morons”…….people of Dinnington open your eyes.

Havenhand is as disliked as Dalton and both want to dip into our money without due regard as to whether or not the sums can be justified. They cannot IMV but if Labour councillors understood finance they would’nt be Labour councillors. Watching semi-literates struggling to understand simple budget sheets is embarrassing but hey ho, they are spending other peoples money so as instructed they raise their hands in unison to ‘democratically’ approve whatever fantasy figures are presented to them.
It seems strange, Dalton and Havenhand both resign yet Dalton gets more negative comments. Perhaps Havenhand has not sunk to the same depths as Dalton?
