RMBC officers may ask Anston Parish Council to go halves on the bill for investigating Parish Hall problems

Word has reached us that Rotherham Borough Council have spent so much time and money investigating dodgy going ons at Anston Parish Council they want to send them a bill!

RMBC officers may ask Anston Parish Council to go halves on the bill for investigating things like calling the police to chuck pensioners out of meetings, insulting the public and being generally bad eggs.

Cllr Saint-John isn’t too pleased, possibly because a lot of the complaints are directed at him, wouldn’t put it past the Borough to send another bill to his door, watch out Iain!

Wonder if the police will join in and start billing them? Hundred quid per pensioner? More on this as we get it!

If the Labour councillors on Anston PC conducted themselves in accordance with the Nolan Principles and The Local Government Act 1972, did not resort to verbally abusing members of the public and conspire with Dominic Beck to short-cut Natural Justice (Natural justice means:
the right to be heard (Audi altem partem), and
the rule against bias (Nemo iudex in causa sua).
Anston PC are also guilty of Procedural Impropriety (Procedural impropriety consists of a failure to follow procedure laid down in statute, or a failure to observe the common law rules of natural justice).
They wonder why they are asked to contribute 50% of the costs of an inquiry.Simples. Do your jobs properly and nobody will complain.
The downside is the residents of Anston will pay this money because, once again Lackey Collins failed to do her job ie: personally surcharge Labour councillors instead of asking the Parish Council to pay.

The failed court case that APC’s legal team told them they would lose very early on. A shining example of using public money to fight a personnel vendetta..

Colin I agree with all you say.
